Stefano Pirrello, BEng, MEng (Geotechnical), MIEAust, NER, RPEQ,
Stefano Pirrello is the founder of Deep Foundation Solutions. Originating from Italy with a double Degree from the University of Palermo in Construction Engineering and Architecture (Classe LM4), Stefano is now a Chartered Engineer with Engineer’s Australia and has over 15 years’ experience working in the fields of Geotechnical Engineering Consulting and Construction in Australia. Stefano completed his specialization in the Geotechnical field in 2012 completing a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Sydney University. With experience working for both top tier consultants and contractors, Stefano specialises in the design of deep foundations, retaining structures, temporary works (including construction advice), slope stability, settlement analysis, pavement design and many other aspects of the geotechnical field. Stefano is a committee member of the Australian Geomechanics Society Sydney chapter since 2012.
Peter Caffi
Peter Caffi is the founder and director of Scurbàt Geophysics. Peter has more than 18 years geophysical and project management experience, working within the engineering and construction sector; managing, supervising, and completing investigations in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Canada and Malaysia.
Peter has extensive experience in the acquisition, processing, interpretation of geophysical data, and integration with geotechnical/geological information.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons, First Class) in geophysics/geology from Macquarie University, Sydney.
During his career he published 5 papers with topics spanning from land seismic, marine seismic / magnetic, and structural and metamorphic geology
Richard King BE (Civil)
Richard has a 40+year career in geotechnical engineering, initially with Coffey Partners, a founder and Principal Engineer with Network Geotechnics, a Senior Principal with Construction Sciences and recently as a founding Partner and Senior Principal with GeoSmart Solutions Pty Ltd.
Richard has extensive experience with earthworks, flexible and rigid pavement design, assessment of civil construction materials including the use and specification of marginal and non-standard pavement and fill materials, construction phase project support, slope stability, landslip remediation, and AS2870 classifications.
For the last decade, Richard has been working increasingly with insitu testing methods including CPT, Falling Weight Deflectometer, Light Weight Falling Deflectometer, Panda variable energy instrumented Penetrometer, Plate Load and most recently Grizzly Dynamic Probing Super Heavy instrumented
